This installation invites people to explore how their actions shape the space around them. A steel framework with hanging, glowing wires creates a room that feels both industrial and organic. When visitors walk across the floor, contact microphones pick up their footsteps and transform them into echoes while also brightening the lights. An entangled ball of wire reacts to proximity and touch, causing all the lights in the room to glow stronger at once. These simple interactions make the connection between body and space tangible and engaging. Inspired by plant growth and rainforest lianas, the design reimagines nature through artificial light and minimal materials, creating an environment that feels alive and responsive.
During the process we built prototypes to test how people would move through the space, how bright the lights should appear, and how the sensors should react. These iterations helped us refine the balance between light, sound, and interaction, resulting in an experience where even the smallest movements leave a visible and audible trace.
